Steve Whitaker, PhD.

Steve has a background in secondary social studies education and holds a
Ph.D. in Instructional Technology. He has worked with pre-service and
in-service K-12 teachers across the Commonwealth of Virginia, exploring how
technology can enhance the teaching and learning experience in their
classrooms. His teaching and research have focused on how digital
technologies can assist the needs of students, especially those in special
populations.

Steve is currently the technology coordinator for MyTeachingPartner, a
grant-funded research project designed to support pre-k teachers of at-risk
students by promoting language, literacy and social relationships.
MyTeachingPartner relies heavily on meaningful interactions between
teachers, technology, and expert support.

In his spare time, Steve spends as much time as possible outside.
