John Bunch is interested in visual communication media and in museums and
education. The visual communications study he is involved in is concerned
primarily with
- The educational use of anthropological methods of
photographic representation and analysis
- Semiotics and cognitive theory
- The design of visual imagery for
teaching
His museum work focuses on studying
how people learn in a museum setting, particuilarly with
objects and how to design educational experiences with
material culture.
