Summary and Suggestions: |
Befuddled math students and parents frequently turn to Dr. Math for help. Use this link to the archived letters to turn your students into mini-Dr. Maths. In other words, give the letters (not the replies) to small groups of your students and have them research and craft responses. I've selected factoring questions, but you could use Dr. Math for virtually any algebra topic. The beauty of this activity is that the factoring letters include questions ranging from relatively easy all the way to difficult (introduction to factoring to quadratic factoring and beyond), so you can decide who gets which questions. |
